In 1974, Ludwig Engineering moved into their present facilities located at 109 East Third Street in the City of San Bernardino. The building was designed and constructed by Ludwig Engineering to provide optimum working conditions for engineering, architectural, and drafting personnel. The office was enlarged in 1985 and again in 1992 to accommodate the expanding staff and equipment.
Ludwig Engineering is
equipped with the VANGO™ computer aided design and drafting
(CADD) system. This is the most current and complete computer
CADD and data management system available for civil engineering
and mapping. We are also equipped to perform the CADD work
utilizing MicroStation™ PC by Intergraph or AutoCAD®
Release 13, should the client prefer. All members of our
administrative staff are provided with personal computers having
word processing, spreadsheet, and database software among a
variety of other applications.
VANGO™ is a multi-user, interactive, fully integrated, computer aided design and drafting system developed for ground-based civil engineering, surveying, mapping, and informational management. VANGO™ runs on the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) MicroVAX 4000, Model 60 computer.
Our office staff utilized the computer system for survey calculations, automated ink drafting, assessment spreading, hydraulic analysis, final mapping, grading plans, and street improvement plans.
Our mainframe based CADD system gives us a big advantage over PC based CADD systems as numerous CADD operators are able to work on the same data base at the same time. This allows us to complete projects in a short time-frame.
When the maps are changed, the change is reflected through all drawings automatically. Our computer system is large enough that all maps and calculated points from the inception of the project will be available for immediate recall for plotting.
Our methods and equipment can provide dramatic savings in construction costs.
